Marry, Fuck, Kill
Role: Animation Director/TD
Client: Ruth Patir
Year: 2019

Marry, Fuck, Kill is a 3D animated short film directed by Ruth Patir, initially exhibited at the Center for Contemporary Art (CCA) in Tel Aviv. The film uses motion capture as a documentary tool, portraying Ruth’s mother, Ziva Patir, as a digital fertility figurine. Through this digitally embodied avatar, the work meditates on the tensions between second-wave and third-wave feminism, and on the influence of technology on our daily lives—particularly in how identity, agency, and generational narratives are expressed and preserved.
As sole animator on the project, I oversaw the creation of the film from start to finish. This included motion capture, rigging, modeling, lighting, rendering, and editing. I was responsible for crafting both the cinematic and visual design language of the piece. Working closely with Ruth, I built a unique animation pipeline that made large-scale documentary motion-captured animation not only possible but also flexible—allowing for iterative experimentation while maintaining emotional fidelity.
