Love Letters to Ruth

Role: Animation Director/TD
Client: Ruth Patir
Year: 2018

"Love Letters to Ruth" is a 22-minute, six-chapter 3D-animated video artwork directed by Ruth Patir. Premiered at Hamidrasha Gallery in Tel Aviv, the piece reimagines Israeli general Moshe Dayan as a resurrected romantic figure. Blending personal narrative, historical iconography, and speculative fiction, the work explores desire, memory, and mythology through a poetic, digital lens. The film was later acquired by the Israel Museum for its permanent collection.

As Animation Director and 3D Lead, I translated Ruth’s conceptual vision into a cinematic structure—developing each chapter with a distinct rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional tone. I built and managed a custom animation pipeline using iClone, Marvelous Designer, Cinema 4D, and Redshift, completing production in about a month.
